So a little question on this topic. I know you get one when you leave the game. But you can also get it when you afk in a game.
It's about the second point. what are the requirements to get an abandon while afk. Because I have had persons afk at a certain point (standing in fountain all day) and he didn't get an abandon when we won the game in the end (4v5 for our team and we won) I think he was afk for a total time of at least 15 min.
But some games back 1 of my friends played Techies and as every techies does he was roaming planting mines and stuff. And then the message 'this game is safe to leave' pops up with telling us that techies had left (and he was still playing). (
So how the hell does this system work. because I don't see a lot of logic in it
In order to be charged with an abandon, you need to have disconnected from the game for 5 minutes. If no DC, then no abandon, I think. Granted, I could be completely wrong so I defer to any later more factual statements on the matter.

yes that's the first way for the abandon but you can also get a abandon for afking. That's what I'm talking about now as that system is pretty weird.
(also hi Other dutch guy and does the name swamp(mist) sound familiar to you :P)
If you don't get any expirience in 5 minutes, you will also get an abandon.
This is a huge problem with techies and I hope Valve will fix it next patch.
