DhampirKnight experiments with the armlet and maelstrom build. He comes to the conclusion that lifesteal rather than lightning hammer is probably more viable in higher level games. The issue is the extra damage that you take from activating MoM so maybe a HoD will work. :D:D

Also.. the curse of the one-side continues, but hopefully it shall continue in his favor.. forever.
