I agree that BKB should almost always be a priority after your core, especially before Sange and Yasha, an item I feel isn't very good to begin with. If the enemy has any sense in their head at all they're going to pick heroes with mass stuns and CCs to counter you, and your BKB will be your own means of survival at that point.
But I guess it all depends on how the game is going.

About the Manta Style. I never saw it in ursas invenoty. I think that Manta would give just some confuse to your self, nothing else.

Instead of that useless Sange and Yasha you could get a Manta Style.
