That's actually not really true. You see a lot of Alchemists and Natures Prophets get it in tourney play.

You misunderstood that. I meant it is not picked up in competitive Gyro games. But you're right i should have said i was referring to gyro. Of course you're right with Alchemist and Nature's Prophet, it's very good on them and after the comment of Peppo_oPaccio im gonna do an update on the guide, where i will also write i was referring to gyro with that.

Gotta talk about how Helm of the Dominator's active is absolutely amazing for boosting your GPM by stacking ancients. It's really the only reason you should upgrade to HoM instead of base Morbid Mask or as a buildup to Satanic.

Thanks a lot. Somehow i completley forgot about that gonna add it right now.

I don't think the early Helm of the Dominator is only useful in that situation. It suits you up well for mid and late game. But you're right, it can be picked up later. However i see a lot of players picking it up early, especially pro Players. Your point with the Yasha is good, but the "easy escapes" with Shadow Blade will often not be easy if they have any kind of detection. Although you're right with the easy Engagements. Probably gonna do some upgrades soon with the Yasha and Shadow Blade. Lastly, thank you for your comment, i really appreciate it.

I might have been a bit harsh about the HotD, but you get the point I guess; also, about the Shadow Blade, I am usually the first guy that finds a good reason not to pick it (Invisibility detection, expensive components, high price for an early game item and so on) but it definitely pays off on Gyro if gotten in about 15 minutes: unlike Heroes like Luna or Juggernaut who would rely too much on invisibility and couldn't actually kill an enemy by themselves if not using their ultimates, Gyrocopter can get solo kills on supports by using Rocket Barrage and autoattacks.
Also, thank you for answering!

The most common Gyrocopter build I see nowadays is Ring of Basilius, Phase Boots and Drum of Endurance into Black King Bar, Helm of the Dominator and Butterfly or Monkey King Bar, taking an early Shadow Blade instead of the Drums if you get fed in lane.

Early HotD is only useful if you are losing advantage because your aggressive trilane failed or the enemies are split pushing very early; Yasha's usefulness has been debated since early May and many players prefer skipping it because it doesn't give so many benefits to your Flak Cannon: some people used to get it if free farming (like on Phantom Lancer), but in this case a Shadow Blade outclasses it because it grants easy engagements/escapes and a couple more damage for your flak.

The skill build is nice, though pro players prefer leaving Rocket Barrage at level 2 if free farming.
