I tested desolator and it did not seem to do anything on the structures. So that is quite sad.

But my own review of this guide. I think it is pretty damn effective, though I would prefer a Sange instead of a Butterfly, in my view Sange has way more benefits:
- It has a maim ability that procs, so Fury Swipes will not overwrite it, and that slow could be much needed for Ursa.
- It gives strength, which synchs well with his ultimate.
- It can be build into two other items dependending on how the game is going, Heaven's Halberd (to disarm the opposing fed carry), Sange and Yasha (with its greater maim chance and increased movement speed, which stacks with Phase Boots and its effect, nobody will be able to run from you).
- Sange and the items it can be build into, are a lot cheaper.

But creative guide, with an effective build.

I tested it previously and it didn't work, hopefully they changed it.

http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Ursa

On Ursa's page it states that Fury Swipes only affect enemy units.

http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Desolator

While Desolator states, as mentioned earlier, it affects both structures and enemy units.
But since both Desolator and Fury Swipes are Orb Effects, we have to look at the list of priority:
http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Unique_Attack_Modifier

1. Conditional Modifiers - Modifiers that only occur on some attacks and are not controlled by the player, such as Maelstrom (chance-based), Mjollnir (chance-based), and Geminate Attack (cooldown-based). If a Conditional Modifier fails to proc then a Standard or Ability Modifier will be present on the attack (if applicable)

2.Ability Modifiers - Modifiers granted by Hero abilities*

3.Standard Modifiers - Modifiers granted by items, with the oldest one in a Hero's inventory taking priority (priority can be shifted by dropping an item and picking it up again)

As we can see Fury Swipes takes priority against Enemy units, while Fury Swipes states it won't affect structures, then it would seem like Desolator takes priority.
I have to test this, it would be kind of weird if they did not add the same mechanics.

Could you supply a link? In DotA 1 it only uses the desolator orb on towers, where as the fury swipes works on targets.

I like the idea of the Armlet of Mordiggian on Ursa as the active provides a larger HP pool for an increased damage bonus from Enrage. Also a nice idea with the Tranquil Boots as it allows you to skillfully utilize your starting items from early to mid game. The Desolator idea is not bad either, however I wouldn't pick it up if someone else on the team had it. +1 from me.
