Great guide, I just got into playing Skywrath and I'm loving it!
On the bottle subject, I'm not a fan - obviously it helps with rune usage, but the mana (70 per charge) is very low considering how much mana you'll burn on a single gank, and getting mana boots faster (more for the +250 manapool, I think) seems far more useful, unless you're getting every single rune and ganking often (and thus can make use of the bottle's heal as well).
I also think that sheep would better luxury than Bloodstone, simply on account of the active and the +INT (which will help your Arcane Bolt). Of course, it's a bit harder to farm than a bloodstone, so that needs to be taken into account, but both are good choices.
Thanks again for the input.
Added an extra build you could use with your mid-laning Skywrath Mage . Also changed my skill build in the first build tab.
@Samukobo
Thanks for pointing out a build that I use a lot actually.. I had forgotten about the Ancient Seal maxed at 7. I made a change in the skill build, after re-trying this skill-build ingame.
Yeah you definitely need a skill build that maxes Arcane Bolt by 7 or 8. Another thing usually found in support Skies is maxing his Third skill by seven - it works really well in trilanes especially with another support hero / a support hero and the carry with good nukes.
@Paperbags I agree on the early arcane for early domination. I might add a section on that later on. I have actually not thought about that, so thanks for that feedback! :)
@LG_Fox_Brazil I think that is a great idea. I was planning on adding a laning chapter. Though to mention how to interact with your team is a good point :P So thank you for the feedback as well! :)
Great guide! I love playing as Skywrath Mage and I think that your choice of items is very solid! Add a section detailing how the player should act together with his teammates during the teamfights and it will be perfect! + 1 for you
I like your item choices, especially for a support skywrath. However, when I play him I like to max out Arcane Bolt and Concussive Shot, with an early point in the silence at level 4. I max arcane because of it's surpisingly high damage and ease-of-spam. That being said, I tend to play Skywrath as an early-game midlane dominator and transition into just a teamfight damage dealer. Good guide for the chosen role though!
