Yes.

I'm such a big fan of curse of the silent. There isn't a single more annoying laning phase spell in the game. There are very few heroes that can stand up to more than two curses without having to leave the lane. I never thought about it, but early glaives works well as a support as it grants you more harass damage and no creep aggro. I have been experimenting with a max q,e untill level eight kinda like a chaos knight with his q,w, which seems to work very well in lane. Leaves you with low mana is the problem.
When you say solo you mean solo mid? I don't believe silencer could function solo suicide.
