I agree that Slardar is probably best played as a roamer in the current meta. Your other points about the situational pick are good.

A "value point" in Bash, given only a 10% proc chance, might be a point better used for Sprint or Crush instead.

I've also seen Butterfly on strength heroes recently. I'm intrigued by its use on Slardar, since he can really benefit from the attack speed, and Butterfly has a better evasion% than Heaven's Halberd.

i dont like going for sprint just for the creep block, you should always wait untill you are in lane, especially since crush is such a good spell.

Guyz i will format it soon with some colors. As far as midas goes: since you are heavily reliant on getting successful ganks, which works 60-70% of time, u do tend to fall behind and then its really hard to catchup in exp and lvls. I will team fight build for slardar which has armlet. I thank you all for your commends. Keep them comming.

Actually I checked his other comments and he doesn't look like a troll. That's really interesting. It must be so hard to type like that.

The First Thing That Comes To Mind Is Wether The Hand Of Midas Makes Sense On Slardar
The Extra Gold Is Quite Nice But Since You Are Not The Main Carry, I Recommend Only Getting It If You Can 5-6 Min Rush It But Because You Are Offlane Your Greediness Should Be At An All Time Minimum
Heaven's Halberd Is Definetely Worth A Mention, It Gives Only A BIT Less Evasion Than Butterfly, So They Have To Get An MKB And You Got It A Hundred Times Cheaper. I Think Overall Halberd Is Better Than Butterfly On Slardar, Slardar Won't Make Maximum Effectiveness From The AGI So The Eaglesong's Effectiveness Is Lowered So I Dont Think Butterfly Is Better Than Halberd. Also That Active On The Halberd Helps A Lot. I Much Prefer Mjollnir To Butterfly For The Reason That Halberd Is Giving You Evasion And Since You'll Be Tanking A Ton Of The Damage, Mjoll Can Help A Lot. I Don't Recommend Heart. Yes, Yes Slardar Is A Tank But Heart Just Isn't For Those Heroes That Blink In, Deal A Ton Of Damage And Probs End Up Dying For The Team If You Know What I Mean, Maybe I'm Wrong But I Don't Think Heart's Regen Is Being Used To Max Effectiveness And I Personally Much Prefer An Assault Cuirass. Also, I Skip Magic Stick On Slardar, Maybe It's Just Personal Preferance But I Don't Build It Into A Wand and Considering The Type Of Hero Slardar Is I Would'nt Reccomend It Either, Maybe I'm Wrong, I Don't Know

They're capitalizing him!......And then they're gonna capitalize me......Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

I would rather buy Heaven's Halberd instead of Butterfly. I don't mind Hand of Midas on Slardar. But the way he farms slow it's not much of an item for him. Vladmir's Offering and Desolator can be purchased and Mjollnir.

Hmm, sitting on the fence vote-wise here, the guide looks incomplete to me. Item Build mashed together in 1 section, not much formatting and no icons or images makes this hard to read.

I am not a fan of Hand of Midas on Slardar, because he shouldn't be picked as a main carry. I am rather going fast Blink Dagger to get those stuns landed. He reminds me of Centaur Warrunner in playstyle.

I mostly agree with this. Fair enough if you get a 5:00 Hand of Midas depending on how the next 10 minutes are going to go, but getting Blink Dagger asap is your main priority Item-wise. Getting a Blink Dagger at 10:00 - 12:00 is still great if you go Midas. You should make it clearer that Hand of Midas is Situational

I like that you don't choose Vanguard. I don't like this item at all - just like Sange and Yasha. Casual Vitality Booster into Heart of Tarrasque is fine. I would go for Mjollnir instead of Butterfly. What do you think about it?

Agree with Vanguard and Sange and Yasha being terrible. I'm not too sure about rushing a Heart of Tarrasque though.

More HP is good, but usually you'll have more of a problem from Stuns making a Black King Bar more important, or you need more Armour, making an Assault Cuirass a better option. Heart of Tarrasque is only really needed if they have a lot of Magical Damage that you need more HP to Tank through.

As for Mjollnir vs Butterfly, they both have their advantages. As you say in the guide, forcing a Carry to build a Monkey King Bar is always good (unless they usually build MKBs anyway, e.g. Weaver, Gyrocopter, etc.) and Mjollnir's active and Passive are blocked by Magic Immunity, so its easier for the other Team to deal with. It really comes down to judgement on a game to game basis imo. Mjollnir definitely deserves adding to your Items though. 8{)

Also, you mention Heaven's Halberd, but it's not in the Item Build?
