If you want to build the ricer version of her, by all means do it. Take Trueshot Aura and Stats, then your ultimate when you can. Start leveling silence at level 7 through 10. Then go back to stats. Your items here are
Either that, or you build focusing around survival and your
Maxing frost arrow isn't just about ganking. Maxing it early allows you to greatly help out your team, allowing you to help slow an enemy so they can't run away instead of being killed. It also helps keep you safe in the lanes when an enemy decides to rush you at any point in the game, since you can slow them and make your escape. And especially near end game when rushing the base, slowing all the enemy heroes around allows your team to easily kill them, instead of the usual situation where they run back to their fountain to heal.
So to sum that up:

Plus since it's your base attack and not a damage over time effect, it will help a lot more with your creep killing ability early on.
And I realize the Orb is part of your build later on, which brings me to another point,
A lifesteal item is fine to tack on later in the game if you want to of course. But

That's some pretty heavy damage on your opponents, especially considering the 35% mini bash chance, and 25% chance for 250% crit. And that's a pretty moderate build. If you play well you can build up a much better inventory by lvl 16.
And this is not a solo lane guide , u should be lane-ing with a babysitter like vs/jakiro/lion. The aura for u and your teamate will gives better harass-ing and farming + denying.
If you are solo-ing, I would prefer for stats first until level 8 only up trueshot aura.
Max frost arrow if only you playing gank. But i would prefer ganker to do the job, like sven,lina those.
Using same boot with opponent, level 1 frost arrow is good enough for you to chase and kill. If u know how to shoot and run.
Damage and stats will make you survive in team fight and kill the enemy faster.
With your team disable , stun/slow/hex etc , the higher damage is better than frost arrow. Kill them before they run, not chase them. Lifesteal/critical + drow high agis with high damage is good enough to kill support hero or fighting hero with disables.
Imagine 1 stun hero + another hero gank u. What can you do with frost arrow? You can't run away. But with aura and stats, you got higher possibilities on killing 1 of them before you die.
to me , Drow is not as good as other ganker. She can be better performance with farm-ing out item and deal some massive damage in mid game onwards.
For one, it gives you amazing lane domination potency. Maxing out your aura first doesn't do much of anything because it is based on % of damage, which means it becomes more useful as the game goes on, but is more or less useless early game.
Drow is what you would call a utility hero, so when you opt for damage over utility when the damage isn't even worth it, you are seriously hampering her ability to do anything. She isn't an afk farmer. Most Drow's dominate the game through their utility and supporting their team, but you seem to have gone completely against that and tried to play on her weaknesses instead of her strengths. You won't bring anything to a gank in your lane, which costs your team gold, and the enemies in your lane will walk all over you because you lack the ability to kite them. Sorry, but that is a really bad skill build in my opinion.
You're also giving up silence until level 4, which makes you even more useless early on.
