Hi guys
When I look at the Heaven's Halberd it seems like a great weapon against right-clickers like lycanthrope but is it worth it? It seems pretty good on someone like Alchemist that the strength, maim, and evasion would help on someone who lacks mobility

It's a better item for surable semi carries, like Sven or Dragon Knight. I personally don't like it, just because I don't usually play durable semi carries. But it is a decent item, especially for Sven.

Yeah, it's good, it leaves any carry without it's basic attack, which is his main source of damage.

its an underused item but yeah its good. i like building it on lifestealer since the evasion and disarm make him that much more survivable against auto attacks.

Basically it's a silence, just with auto attacks.

Such an odd item, I don't ever see it actually being used.

I don't ever remember anyone picking it up in dota either.

I use it quite a lot when I play Strength carries such as Skeleton King who benefits both the HP and damage the strength bonus provides and the evasion. It's like the strength carry equivalent to the agility carry's Butterfly. It's also very amusing to use the active on someone and watch them stand there helplessly. Great for shutting down heroes such as Ursa who are quite reliant on their auto-attacks to dish out damage.

^ So what are some heroes that need/benefit greatly from halberd? I'm thinking of Naix, Sven, DK, and Lycan right now. Any others?

Any strength based carries will benefit from it. Agility heroes can use it if they are unable to farm their Butterfly by breaking a Sange and Yasha into a Manta Style and Heaven's Halberd but this is rarely seen.

Halberd is great for heroes like Huskar, Dragon knight , brew master ( 2 disarms ) Slardar, pretty much any strength dps. I wouldn't elect alchemist as a halberd wearer, but it's certainly not bad.

You can also equip Halberd on alot of support heroes like rubick, Kotl
