Hey all, firstly I'd like to say thanks for the advice: everyone has been so generous with their time and advice here that it's been very encouraging.
Now then, I started playing 3 months ago and I'm just now getting into the community and taking learning the mechanics of Dota much more seriously. I've been told to get a Dotabuff account, read guides, watch videos, keep posting here and maybe get into a little coaching or mentoring.
Is there a checklist out there for things that a new player should make sure to do to improve their game quickly? Of course I understand that there is no "magic bullet" or everyone would be great at Dota, but what would be the recommended route to go from noob to pro? If we get a good one here, maybe we could get a link on the homepage like "First Stop for New Players" or something like that which would get people from 0 to 1 at least of their little Dota journey (I know there's an entire New Player thread, but it doesn't really have an obvious link for the completely clueless)?
or feel free to add me i am a dota coach in my spare time and if i dont have time to directly spectate and walk you through games i can give u links of game replays to watch and can give you instructionals if youd like.
feel free to add me and we can chat more in real time
