frustrated new player help me

i am moving from lol to dota2.dota2 is fcking hard.how do i always get killed in a flash.and those fcking long stuns really frustrates me.i am playing antimage most of the times.sometime i get scores like 0-8.someone help me.how do i get some kills and also survive.

I just made the step from "casual" LoL to DOTA 2, it's not that hard if you take a little bit to get used to everything. Grab a guide from here, use it and play slower then you are used to do in LoL. The mid-game starts later then it does in LoL, and you'll need to really fixate on last-hitting and denying at first untill you've got your items.

Play a few games against bots, then go online and check it out. You're not the only new player out there.

Anti-Mage is a hero that needs a lot of farm to be effective. Without farm, he's useless.


In early-mid game, he's pretty squishy, he dies really fast, even with his blink, he can get countered or held in place.

I'd suggest you to watch some professional matches where Anti-Mage is present, so you can see how the big players play him.

He's not a hard hero, he just requires a lot of farm, you shouldn't play aggressive or focus on kills, just farm and get your items. Late game you'll kill everyone that way.

Also, your blink has a 0.4 seconds cast animation, that means it takes 0.4 seconds to blink, it's not instant like [[Blink Dagger].


I'd not recommend you to start playing Anti-Mage as a beginner, since farming and surviving might be hard, I'd suggest you to play supports, mostly disablers, like Sven, Tidehunter, Lina, and so on. Heroes who help the team and don't require farm.
