What does BKB do exactly?

Ok so what exactly does the Black King Bar do I don't understand the description.

It makes you immune to all spells. There are some exception, but most spells will be negated.

For example, if I activated BKB, Naga Siren's Ult will not effect me.

Everytime you use it, the duration and cooldown lowers. Use this strategically, and don't waste it!

I always forget about the lower duration and the lower cd. It never seems to be a big deal to me although i know it is. Its important to note that disabling ultimates go through BKB, excluding Naga Ult since thats not really a disable. Examples of this are Void Chronosphere, Bane Fiends Grip, and Enigma Black Hole. They won't deal damage to you when you are BKB'd but they will still render you useless during their durations.

Non-ult CC that works on you while having bkb on:

Auto attack stun from bash or (watch out for s or Lycanthropes that pick up Bashers
Axe's Berserker Call
Pudge Hook (no dmg)
Nets from and

Heroes with Ults that can still work on you. x means this counters bkb well.
(if below kill threshold)

(but you should activate bkb right after since 1v5 is bad)

(DISPELS BKB!! at least i think) x

(don't worry, you're probably auto attacking if u get bkb)

Don't worry too much about the exceptions. Just know that most spells will not have any effect on you, BUT AUTOATTACKS WILL. So be careful. Don't think you are immortal when you use BKB.

Just a few spells that are exceptions that you should know (yes, I contradicted myself ;_;)

- Black Hole
- Bash
- Nets (Naga and Meepo)
- Abyssal Scepter
