Whats with all the rage quiters lately?
a few days aggo I went public again with 3 of my friends,
we've been training alot and can say that our (or atleast my) early game is pretty ok (tho it can Always be done better, that's a fact I won't ignore)
Anyhow, we played against a team who picked 4 randoms, so me and my buddy also went random for the extra gold and we ended up with him playing Luna and me playing Kunkka in the same lane.
Due to some sheer luck and ofcourse some skills here and there ;) I managed to get a double kill before the 3 minute mark (my buddy Luna died tho)
About 10 secs after my double kill, the enemy sniper left. after 3 mins..... c'mon man
and now yesterday I was playing vengefull spirit support in lane together with Juggernaut
against Drow Ranger and Zeus
I was denying like crazy! I think I had about 38 denies by about 8-9 mins so drow and zeus were massivly underfarmed. (drow was lvl 3 by the time i was lvl 5)
They both left!!!!!
WTF
Poeple please, Bad games do happen!
But please for your own good, KEEP PLAYIN and LEARN from it.
it just ridiculous, can't get any exp or recordings with my friends because everybody keeps leaving. (And we aren't even that good! D:)
So please, stop leaving? :/
edit: I too have had some pretty awefull games where I couldn't get any farm at all or got ganked frequently, But that didn't make me leave! I actually learned alot from those "bad games". You won't get a solid start every game, Learn to fight back with a slight disadvantage, it's part of the game.
So dear Ragequiters, for your own good and for everyone else in your game, STAY and LEARN. so you can become better and you don't have to have bad games anymore.
Life is really simple, but we insist in making it complicated.

Its dota. Some people take it way too seriously or just hate losing. Same thing with ragers, this stuff happens in everygame. A famous example would be idra.
Had a sniper quite after getting first blood on him. He was solo top-radiant while I was naix and laned with a lion. What did he honestly expect? Btw, this was at < 1:30
First things first there are no skill brackets according to valve so talking of "high skill brackets" means nothing. Second his post indicates that this is a change from the norm. This is a problem I've been having as well recently. A problem which I thought was in the past. The problem is with matchmaking putting players together who are not suited due to their experience and skill. Granted it was worse before the latest fix but it's still much worse than it was before the game officially launched.SO players from the imaginary high skill bracket are probably quitting because they are being unfairly asked to carry these new players. And new players are quitting because they can't compete and, well, as the two posts talking of skill brackets indicate this is what new players do.

I'm quite aware that there's no set %brackets where players are sorted thank you very much. Each player has a certain ELO. The matchmaker tries to make games with similar average ELOs between two teams. If he has a higher than average ELO and he's playing in servers that are sparsely populated, then it is reasonable to say that he is matched with new players, and you are correct.
I assumed he's in a populated server. That means his ELO is not high enough to avoid new players. Hence, once his ELO increases, he'll play at a higher bracket, and there would be fewer RQ cases.

Yet you are still not recognizing that he said that this is something new. As in why is there an increase in rage quitters. An increase would suggest that previously there were less RQ and now there are more. So how can you tell him it's because he's not got to the level where RQ's arise less often. If you are indeed correct then the only logical conclusion would be that he has dropped several levels. That could make sense, except for the fact that it has happened to many of us since the game came out of beta and is a common complaint not just on this forum but many other dota 2 forums. I really feel your answer is merely to tell him that this isn't an issue at all, when clearly it is a recent change for many.
ELO is a scoring system based on losing or gaining a set number of points. All players start at a certain number of points, lets say 1000. With each match, they can gain/lose a number of points where the gain+lose=a set number like 50. So lets say the radiant has been deteremined by the computer to be more skilled. The score could then be +20/-30 for them.In turn, the dire would have a +30/-20 since they are less favored so they can gain more points. The more in favor the skill is for 1 team, the less they gain. So more skilled players have a higher elo.
