-Ward shards for an individual player accumulate over time at a rate that is dependent on the amount of sentry wards the current player has set out on the map (with out radius overlap) at a time.
-Each support item in the support category costs a different amount of ward shards perhaps, but every time you purchase a support item with the shards the shard cost of all support items goes up, perhaps substantially.
-The prior affect would be to prevent supports from getting too far out a head of the lane heroes in items (keep the pride of the carry concept).
-Of course ward shards is a bad term for them if they could also fall along side other items for accomplishing objectives, or even the objectives that do not drop items. This creates more opportunity to get more support items faster to flaten the curve of amplifying support item costs.
