HELP-In game mic problems

Since a recent patch I have had trouble with my in-game mic only for Dota 2 mind you. The bubble pops up but nobody can hear me. I can hear everyone else just fine and have heard a few other people having such a problem...I have scoured the net looking for the solutuion and have found none that work. voice_enable 1 or w/e doesn't work, uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't work etc etc. This is a huge problem for me as I despise typing while I play to try and coordinate ganks and such...this is a very strtategic game for me and the slightest problem can turn the tides....has Valve addressed this in anyway and please god how do I fix this? I cannot play like this much longer...Please help.

Are your sure your microphone works? Did you try using Skype?

Yes, only doesn't work in-game dota 2. all the setting are right and it always worked until now...im not usually rude so I don't think it was because of some punishment and yes skype and everything else works. Like I said others are having the same prob....Someone please help me?????

Hmm, if the settings and the microphone is fine, I guess it's a problem from the game. Maybe you should try contacting the Valve Support?

I had issues with my microphone also (I use a Turtle Beach PX21 headset with build in microphone), and getting it to work on DOTA 2.

Try:

Steam > Settings > Voice > Change Device

See if your microphone appears as a separate option on there, as mine did outside of the default Windows selection.

I changed it to my Turtle Beach headset and now I can speak clearly.
