Zreqir was born in an unfortunate time to an unfortunate family. The Sinister Lotus, as many townsfolk had come to call them; had been raging war on the kingdom for almost two decades. First at the country-side where villages were easier to ransack and news traveled slowly, but the cults numbers had grown rapidly as most were given the choice to join or perish, the latter being quite unpopular.
Most rural areas were simply unequipped to deal with such necromancy, and the Lotus were well aware of this, taking advantage of most villages on the outskirts of the kingdom. The king at first paid no attention to such a small group of bandits, however the Lotus was much faster than he expected, ransacking the kingdoms trade capital, cutting goods and merchandise for the entire kingdom in half.
The Lotus Prospered during this period, as their ranks had grown into the thousands of well-trained acolytes, and tens of thousands of rotted bones and bodies with which to cause mayhem as they pleased. However with great numbers and success, comes arrogance. As the necromancers stormed the capital of the kingdom, with an impressive 5000 necromancers, and the two leaders of the cult; Sigma, his wife Remi, and their twelve Risen Archbishops, the battle lasted less than an hour. The Sinister Lotus had lost all but 14 of their members as they stood no chance against an army of eighty-thousand well trained and well armed soldiers of the king. The surviving leadership fled on horseback and the king thought of the cult as no more.
Their hope shattered and their wills broken, they remained hidden in the temple they had taken as a base of operations some time ago. This unfortunate time for the cult had been the period of Zreqir's birth. For the next decade the cult had slowly regrown to barely 500 fully-fledged necromancers. Upon learning that the cult had once again regained a steady following and was active once more, the new king, who was but a young prince during the initial invasions, had decided to snuff them out for good. Sending an eighth of the kingdoms entire force, it took over 6 years for the cults hideout to be tracked down; and the Lotus to once again be slaughtered. This time the fifteen surviving members were captured, including Zreqir; who was but a novice necromancer at this time and had been forced to train by his parents, were brought back to town to be executed in public, ending the cult. The Lotus however, sinister as they were, had one final card up their sleeve. When came the day of the executions, fifteen guillotines had been lined up on a wooden stage, and a sizeable portion of the kingdom had gathered to watch the Lotus lose its leaves, just as the leadership of the cult had planned. After the theatrics of one such execution was over, it was almost time for the finale. Sigma, Remi, and the twelve Archbishops rose their hands in perfect unison, all pointing directly as Zreqir. Casting soul transference, and using Zreqir as a vessel for 14 of the greatest necromancers to ever live was going to have unexpected results, as Sigma knew it would. As their entire minds and magics were transferred into Zreqir, his psyche was pushed to the brink of madness, as was his power. Instantaneously they used their old bodies as fuel, and 14 golems were born, shattering the guillotines. While they golems wrecked havoc on the town, decimating the viewers, two of them escorted Zreqir to one of the Lotus's hideout.
Zreqir however, was no longer just one entity, but the entire history , violence, and raw power of the Sinister Lotus manifested. He now lives on, maddened by the 14 entities merged to his mind, pulling him in every direction. Whether Zreqir likes it or not, he will serve the Lotus
