Hero Lore:


The Saina Outlands is such a desolate place to live, with the scorching sun beaming through the mesa biomes and crimson deserts. They are filled with mega-arthropods, with the eusocial Gigants terrorizing the local fauna and flora. There are no stationary settlements because of this, so the nomadic Saina peoples ride the ever-changing dunes using the razor winds with their duneboard caravans.

It was never always like this. Back then, Saina was a lush swamp jungle with nearly mega-urban structures spread around the heart of an ancient empire that once spanned the whole continent. However, children of the titans found them immoral and divine punishment befall the empire, with their descendants scattered into the four corners of the world.

Terasel is a young tall woman with bright red hair which stands out among the common Arankayan folk of the Elysium grasslands. For this, she was almost always mistaken as a Saina raider and suffered multiple injustices among the locals. However, her nature is stubborn and determined, and took bully altercations as a 'surprise training exercise' to become adept with her family heirloom: a crimson halberd named Empiricka Vis. Through many losses and victories, her keen sense of her opponent's behavior and anatomy become almost instant in reflex, being able to strike lethal blows in but a moment. In the end, she gathers battle scars and strong principles.

As she matures into adulthood, the halberd grows evermore contrast in color faintly glowing. She then began to hear faint whispers from Empiricka Vis, like it was 'speaking' to her. The words are not of any known language she knows but somehow she can understand their meaning. The words paint a visual of towering metropolises of gold and sapphire floating above the endless swamp jungles, chained by rusted crimson steel. These majestic structures were taken by large hands from the sky, never to be seen. But after a short moment, the same structures fall like lightning into the vibrant swamp, with debris and lava spewing everywhere until the whole scene becomes full crimson.

The forced visions troubled her mind and her body reacts violently unto the visage charging quickly towards her. Blood spills everywhere inside the blacksmith hut. The visage was a mere hallucination, but the blood is not. When Terasel recollected her senses, what she saw is the unmoving body of her father holding an ebony steel chestplate, drenched and stained by his own blood. She falls down to her knees, tries to throw the cursed halberd to the side so she can hug her father.

However, the halberd does not go away from her hand. In her frustration, she quickly grabs her father's hammer and strikes her hand, fused into Empiricka Vis. After multiple tries, the hammer broke into pieces after the halberd swung its edge on its own volition.

Then, screams of her neighbors are heard outside the window and loud heavy quakes are heard and felt. Moments later, the roof above her head breaks off and went above the sky with surprising speed. As Terasel looks up, multiple eyes of gold and ivory looked back with incomprehensible malice. Her fused hand hastily moves the halberd on top of her head, as a quick instinct. Her intuition was proven true as a myriad of ivory spears flew at the 'eye' of Empiricka Vis. In her peripherals, nearby townsfolk are abducted by unknown luminous figures and some bloodied by the same spears that struck her weapon.

She realizes the situation and aimed her halberd at the many-eyed entity of the sky. Feeling her strong conviction, Empiricka Vis fused the bloodied ebony armor of her father's craft into Terasel and the halberd's blade grew tenfold. Though it may seem heavy, Terasel's violent determination gave it weightlessness. In less than a moment, the sky rains deep blue as large hands fall into the landscape and fade as vapor.

The survivors witnessed her deeds, breaking their old prejudices and behold her as a champion of their village. But Terasel care less to stay around and take out small vermin, when the 'bigger fish' still roam around without consequence. As she packs her things to head off to the next town, Empiricka whispers to her again.

The ancient kings beckon your lineage to serve once more. The elder ones continue to covet enlightenment to the lesser, it is time break the heavens for their hubris. The Crucible must be open to all, not exclusive to few. A gift is not meant to be taken away.

When activated, Terasel will charge at the target, stopping and hitting the first unit or building in her path. After striking, she is silenced for a short duration. Deals twice damage to buildings.
