Yùfēng

Yùfēng, also known as Jadewind. is a Ranged Agility hero who embodies the Chinese Dragon themes of storms and fortunes. Despite being ranged, all of his attacks are instant; Basically, he just summons a thunderstrike with a glow of his whiskers or a snap of his fingers. However, Jadewind would have the slowest attack point in the game at 0.85 and the slowest B.A.T. at 2.0 (meaning, at 100 attack speed, Jadewind will take 2.0 seconds between attacks with 0.85s of attack animation each. Current slowest attack point is Lina at 0.65; and slowest BAT is Hoodwink at 2.0)

Despite these terrible attack stats, Jadewind is an attack damage carry! His power over the atmosphere allows him to strike down enemies from a long distance, applying his devastating attack damage and modifiers. He can become one with the wind, gaining extreme haste speed and attacking nearby foes as he travels. And when the battle reaches its peak, Jadewind can unleash a powerful storm that strikes enemies at lightning-fast intervals, leaving his foes in awe of his prowess. Notice that all of these spells apply his attack damage and modifiers!

YuFeng's passive, Jade Chi, gives his attacks a chance to generate extra gold, which he can even spend to create a protective shield. The amount of gold generated are small and trifling, but when you consider that all of Jadewind spells are based on his attacks, it will inevitably adds up over time, making Jadewind a very significant late-game threat if left unchecked!

PRoS
  • Strong late game potential: As Jadewind's gold generation and damage output increases, he can become a major threat in the late game if left unchecked. All of his abilities scale with attack damage and attack modifiers.
  • Highly mobile: YuFeng's high base movement speed and Dragon Dance that gives haste and flight allows for faster farm timings and to escape ganks;
  • Fast farmer: Combining his cheap multi-target spell from [Q], mobility from [W], and gold-generation from [E]. He could prove to be one of the fastest farmers in the game! Still 2nd to alchemist.
CoNS
  • Weak early game: His attack damage, attack speed, and durability, are very terrible early game, which could make him vulnerable to aggressive opponents.
  • Vulnerable at all stages of the game: Jadewind's durability is low, while he has Jade Chi to get some shield, it can only block so much. Also, his mobility and damage output becomes crippled when being simply silenced, since his attacks comes from spells most of the time.
  • No disables: The only CC he has is a slow, which is tied to his ultimate. He cannot stop an enemy from escaping into the trees or from teleporting away.
