If you want strong hero with escape mechanism, killer and strong in all stages, the answer is , unless they counter you.

Otherwise I can recommend (either mid or easy lane). He have strong heal + damage share early, and lately he wins you every teamfight just by being with you and dropping 4 golems in right place.

OD can be horribly crushed 1v1 with in lane.

Personally I think is the best answer to your question, pretty good in all stages (farm allowing late) and a great escape.

Have you tried ? Escape artist supreme right there, and he can be a killer too :-) There's ways to deal with him just like with riki but as ComicBookGuy said no hero is perfect!

riki is a really weak early game hero and he needs to get a few items to deal damage and survive. He gets easily harassed in lane and even though he has a pseudo blink, its pretty easy to burst him down.
