I love the Eye of Skadi + Daedalus build, Lina has a lot of AS so why no use Daedalus with her? Hell if you have a lot of farm and went for the ******ed right click path you can even build a Satanic.

General Hishima , Pro player 6k mmr is going to give you the right build for lina.

Lina lacks strenght stats , survavility , movement speed and regen . So improving resistance both magical and physical is must ,

My Build :

I start with a wand , tangos and mangos . Farm Mid and get sentries for runes.

First Item to get : Phase Boots

This are great for movement speed which lina lacks without her passive , This can be replaced for BOT lvl 2 later on the game

Second item to get : Linkens sphere

This item will give you the edge over some single target heroes such as (bloodseeker , legion commander , sniper) . There will always be 1 or 2 single target heroes that can basically **** your game.

Third Item : Eul Scepter of divinity

This item is very helpfull against disablers and stuns , but requieres good timing . If you are good enough to eul yourself right before an echo slam , Epicenter or storm hammer then you can replace bkb for this great item . Low cooldown provides protection on both physical and magical , can remove orchids silence .

Fourth item : Aghanim Scepter

Good against magic resistance heroes and bkbs . Pure damage can destroy an anti mage and huskar (this heroes counter lina spells)

Fifth item : Etheral Blade

Combine this item with your spells will deal 40% more damage to the target and also deals an initial damage depending on your intelligent points , This Item works excellent against omnislash , or any physical damage . combine Etheral blade on yourself and boots of travel for great escapes.

Sixth Item : Eye of Skadi

Lastly , this item can provide Slow movement of your target and slow attack speed for them , combine this with linas high attack speed and High Range attack (650) , Your opponent will be dead before he can reach you .

Lina requieres very high Skill for players to Effectively land stun properly on team fights and help your team mates as well as saving yourself from a 5 man gank. This is the ultimate build that worked for me

Hello,

I think aghanim is required because magic damages are moved to physical. So it is a huge increase of damage.

Eul for me is also required for movement increase and mana regen for few gold.

The old force staff was as follows quarter staff + staff of wizardry + 300 gold recipe
which gave + 10 damage, + 10 intelligence and + 10 attack speed.

The new force staff had a ring of regen substituted for the quarter stuff, losing the + 10 damage and + 10 attack speed, but gaining hp regen - this makes it more appealing for supports and somewhat less appealing for intel carries.

Nice guide. This guide should have a section advising when to play carry lina and when not to do so. As I'm sure you are aware, certain heroes can shut down a lina quite easily. Even though carry lina relies a lot on right-click, her passive requires frequent spellcasting. Thus even a right-clicking lina is shut down by silence.

Also, since the lina scepter upgrade buff, you may want to consider getting scepter over/before orchid against carries with magic immunity.

A very helpfull and complete guide to carry with Lina, easy to follow and very effective during all the stages of the game, using items to sustain her spell damage and not loosing her effectiveness during all game is what I love the most, better than the dagon builds that are very easy to counter and not very usefull or helpfull for the team in late game, her stats allow her to not get instakilled if catched offguard and help her with survivability and last but not least her ultimate making pure damage even against heroes with spell resistance is quite effing' awesome...
P.D: I one shotted in the face an Antimage with Orchid Malevolence + Aghanim's Scepter <3 that felt sooooo soo goooooooood *-*

In all reality, you should never plan to build lina this way. You should plan to build her as a support first, getting stuff like Mek, Force Staff, or Eul's with an Aghanim's later. Plan on those items, then if you are balling from a ton of ganks, get Orchid or Desolator to pimp yourself out.

Remember, she is still one of the easiest to kill chars in the game. No escape mechanic, slow, and low health and armor. work on fixing those first, then your right click.

True, but sometimes, in particular if you play in pub, you can play Lina in this way, if the enemies are feeding you.

Why didn't you choose the Bloodstone?
I love to play Lina Semi-carry, and I always pick it, it is a good item, mostly because it help with your squishiness

This is completely correct.

or switch to support mid way through the game and get a bloodstone.

This made me laugh. Hard.

Great guide overall. I like the idea about Orchid instead of Aghanims. It is a little more expensive, but consists of cheaper parts all of which you can get at the sideshop (except the recipe), and provides CC with the silence. But its really offensive and i dont think that this build is really viable in high level games since noone is going to let you walk around with <1k hp and no bkb/burst heal in fights. This build is weak against coordinated teams or 5 man doto or against any kind of hero that builds orchid (direct contestants as gankers like Queen of Pain, Storm Spirit etc) or against enemy CC (Shackle, Ice Path, Silence, Dismember, etc).

This is a glass cannon build which is only viable in low to mid skill matchmaking or if you have a 2,5 carries lineup (lina being the 0,5 here, since with an equal farm, rolewise similar heros deal more damage and have escape abilities) and the 2 main carries get their farm going and not a single lane is lost.

What i would be interested in is the question about laning. You would go lane support (since you say that you concentrate on denies), but never lose a word about wards. You say you gank alot, but never lose a word about Smoke of Deceit, which is really important for heroes with a low range delayed stun like Lina.

Still a good guide, since the most guys reading these guides are not in high mm.
