First time i played him, i won :D
He can disable one hero with wind, and kill other :D
Plus, he is a life saver when fighting vs sniper, Phantom assasin and high dmg auto attack heros.
And your build was good :p
Thanks for the guide, it's very nice and a +1 for me.
Few quick questions/considerations as I am new to Brew and try to learn how to use it properly:
1) I tried to found an updated and complete list of spells that can be dispelled by Storm's dispel, but couldn't. I'm not going to link them here now but I found some pages mentioning spells that can be dispelled, but I think they're far from being complete. Would you be able to make such a list? I think that dispel is one of the most under rated spell in Brew arsenal and learning how to use it at its full potential would make this hero much better.
2) Have you every considered force staff instead of blink? I'm always building blink in my games now, and probably it is the best option, I just considered that:
a) force staff is easier to build (same cost roughly but a nicer build up)
b) gives mana regen which brew needs
c) it's easier to use as an escape and can be used on team mates/foes, basically it is more flexible
It is of course true that blink has a bigger range and is faster for positioning, I'd just like to know whether you would consider force staff on brew instead of it.
Great guide, plus 1 for me. Quick question though: wouldn't a Shiva's be more viable on him in this role than a AC? The extra initiation power, intelligence, and attack speed slow aura provided by Shiva's seems like it would be more effective on a initiator/ganker build than AC. Could this be a viable situational pickup?
I only play in Pubs and IH with friends, but I can say for sure, Panda skilled this way and itemwise, is the way to own.
Normally, I end up buying a Stout Shield and regen (getting Quelling Blade at first opportunity from lane shop), and then lane with a good lane support hero like Venomancer or Dazzle so that I can land as many LH as possible for Power Treads at around 5-7 min mark and then, depending on the farm, a Point Booster or Blink Dagger -> Aghanim's Sceptre.
Good guide and very nice info about the Dispel Magic on the Storm Spirit! :D
+1
Thanks I'm glad to see the guide is still helping people. I have been gone for awhile and have not update this thing in forever, but I should have some new updates for it within the next week or so with more builds and other info about meta changes ect..

Really good guide. I just started playing Brewmaster and it seems if you want to be able to get lane kills early at lvl 5 you should get Drunken Haze just so you can get a last gasp slow if they are getting away. I found this quite effective in pubs.
anyway to hotkey the spirits?? really would helps micro... like you do with druid's bear (i know he counts as a hero and spirits only as minions but even so might be possible)

One thing you might want to add to the guide: Dispel Magic dispels the Storm Panda's Cyclone. Very useful if you just want a quick stun.
