I generally find phase boots more useful for lining up shackles especially when using a force staff. Arcane Boots are ok, but a couple sage mask or oblivion staff can solve the mana issues. Phase boots also increase your rather low damage and if you do want to want to spam, consider a soul ring

Windrunner is a ganker; you should be roaming, setting up/securing/cleaning up kills. True carries, should be farming. (With the exception of some like Bounty Hunter, which farm heroes instead) If you're building as a support, the idea is that you don't need the gold from lanes.

Also, if you want to play windrunner as a pusher also, desolator is definitely worth mentioning, it really helps melt down towers.

Good to see that you have the basics down though, especially of the mentality of a support.

Keep working on the guide, I suggest learning more about the laning/farming phases to understand how carries function.

About the roaming, in the low level bracket that i am most people get bored of farming and will go roam around because is more fun. That is the only reason i said you could farm.

Also thanks for the desolator suggestion, i´ll test it on my next game.

Nice that you have the courage to write a guide even though you admit being a n00b. Regardless you have understood quite a lot about what windrunner is about. For further improvement I would recommend that you have a look at the other guides here on windrunner to see how she is played as a semi-carry( and add such a build) especially in low-level pubs it is crucial that you can and understand how to build her as a semi-carry if your team's carries (usually the other 4) fail in carrying your team.also I recommend that you take levels in powershot over shackleshot whenever possible ( unless the others in your lane have burst damage cab ability but no stuns)
