This is a very old guide. Times were different then. Core items remain the same more or less, but there are many new additions that could be very useful.
If you're not soloing, a pair of Arcane Boots are a lot more efficient in terms of mana management and cost (as you don't have to buy the Treads): tread switching is unnecessary when you already have a decent mana pool and you won't even notice the lack of more attack speed as you should be chasing and not fighting a stunned/disabled enemy.
For this reason, I find the Phase Boots very convenient when you have a Soul Ring: some people like you prefer tread switching and safe combos over more chasing/killing potential, but it's personal preference.
Hey I would deffo change the skill build. You want to max ancestral spirit ASAP, and you need levels of Echo Stomp -- preferably level 3 -- to get your ult off.
All up to you but I would experiment a bit and see what works best for you
I used to be crazy about Tranquil Boots, arguing with anyone who said they weren't a valid item. After the recent nerf however, I find it hard to win these sort of arguments anymore. The increase in the cool down to 60 seconds makes Tranquil Boots a too unreliable heal for solo laning with a melee if your trying to counteract Soul Ring damage. It's not impossible, but it forces you out of lane at risk of the heal being cancelled. Tango's grant a much more reliable heal which allows more aggressive laning/last hitting.
I haven't included a Mechanism in my build as of yet, but not because it's a bad item on Elder Titan. For anyone reading, if your team needs you to build a Mechanism, read TangoNCash's guide instead. I figure there's no point in us writing the same guide, so I'm more coming from a Soul Ring/ Power Treads combo, mainly for solo laning. I find it almost impossible to have a Mechanism without building Arcane Boots to solve your mana issues.
Random thought I had: if you need to keep your hp up in lane, why not build some Tranquil Boots early on? You could disassemble them later to make other items (make a Ring of Basilius and start on your Mekansm) and upgrade to power treads later.
I think the idea of rushing a Soul Ring in the offlane is super interesting because of how you'd get to harass constantly.
But I'm not crazy about the rest of the items that follow it up. I feel like a Drum of Endurance gives you a lot more utility than a Sange and is 400 gold cheaper. (Mostly because your attack speed is so slow that your are unlikely to get a Sange proc) I think an Orb of Venom is nice, but the movespeed buff from ancestral spirit should help you chase anyway: save the money and buy something else.
The Sange and Yasha is only 600 gold less than a Shiva's Guard, and if I had the choice between the two I'd definitely take the latter, it's a much better luxury item because it really helps you with your mana issues, boosts your survivability, and gives you more teamfight utility.
Finally, I disagree with the skill build. I think Natural Order is surprsingly good early-game, but this build is holding back your amazing ulti all the way to level 9! Without Echo Stomp you're going to have a hard time ganking or landing that ulti anyway.
If you love Natural Order, why not go 2-4-4-1? (wqwewrwqeee) With two points in Echo Stomp you'll have enough stun to land your ulti, have one point in your ulti up, and have the natural order maxed by 11. With this build you are really at near your peak at 11.
Anyhow, just my two cents! I've been thinking about how to play this dude quite a bit and I like some of the ideas here.
