You can't expect them to stand there in 1000 AOE for 80 seconds, for several possible reasons:
1. That would be really really stupid
2. They are already dead
3. They are trying/succeeding in killing you

In the laning phase however, if they want creeps, they need to get close. Even if they're ranged, running from a 1000 AOE moving slow damage dealer along with his harass shots is impossible to avoid the whole time.

That doesn't mean heartstopper doesn't scale is and weak however, it's just that the impact of it on the late game is not that big when compared to the early game.

I disagree with you about huskar being a foe. I would counter pick huskar with Necrolyte. Huskar likes to run around with low health which is exactly the kind of target you're looking for. Often times I'll even bait out a life break from him simply because it brings down his health and then I can simply death pulse him once and scythe and with an auto attack or two it's almost always a kill, then you regain some health and most your mana to heal yourself up the rest of the way.

Depends on the situation. As stated many times before: If you're not being focused and your team is getting flattened to the ground by for example: Traxex's auto attack, disabling her for a short period of time might save the whole situation. The Bloodstone won't help your mates out in a situation like that. Even if you managed to combine a mek+Heartstone charges upon dying it won't do any good if all your friends are dead nor being as reliable due to the reliance of charges. Less charges = less heal for the team. Upon death. I mean, it's a condition you must fill to trigger this ability. You being alive provides more health to the team, honestly.
Also 400 + 30/charge isn't very much lategame due to large healthpools.

As for Radiance. If the game is rubbish and you can play around, go for radi. Absolutely!
Although, it gets more and more ineffective the longer the games goes on. Due to larger healthpools and regen. At best it might slow or stop enemies regenerational ability.

Also, why waste a perfectly good item slot on +dmg and a damage aura which gets ineffective over time? To have extra strong autohits on Necrolyte is the stupidest thing one can do. Why? Because Necro is a support. He supports his team with his healing, mainly. Secondly, he needs survival to last as long as possible, as the guide stated. That's why a Pipe or a sheepstick or even having euls scepter and use it on oneself to last longer during teamfights if focused is way better than radiance.

I didn't intend to sound mean or demeaning, I just tried to land my points. :P

I think that bloodstone is better choice than hex,cus it gives you 500 hp,which means u can longer stay in fight,and with your HEARTSTOPPER AURA you can deal very big demage. Also after bloodestone, i prefer to go radiance and hearth..you literally go around and kill people.. :)

Let's see.

The description of Sadist is wrong, the guide still uses the old one that gave plain mana instead of mana and hp reg. The changes to this skill improved Necros tankability a lot during team fights. Kill a hero, gain 400 hp over 6 seconds and suddenly the enemy team needs one or two extra spells / a few seconds more to kill you.

I personally see Necro more of a hero that has to survive a long time durig fights, even if he gets focused. He has to spam his Pulse over and over and over again, making the entire team very hard to kill.
This means killing a hero, even if you steal it from your carry is viable if you need the regeneration to stay alive or spam you heal more. This is no excuse to steal kills just because you didn't have full hp -_-

Now that we understand that stayng alive (ah ah ah ah) to ensure our teams survival is crucial, what does this mean?
Three items come to mind: Heart, Pipe / Hood and Bloodstone. Since a Heart is difficult to farm I really like an early Bloodstone.
Bloodstone gives us everything we need, HP and Mana, good regeneration, especially mana reg outside of combat.

1) You can accumulate a lot of charges on the stone due to ensured kills with your ultimate and a long up time in fights, thus you will never have mana or hp problems, making you even tankier and very hard to kill -> more Pulses for your team.
2) The enemy team focuses you immedeatly. Most of the time you still get a kill with your ultimate keeping you alive a bit longer, forcing them to use more spells on you. This keeps your carry alive longer and when you finally die everyone gets healed for the charges on the Bloodstone.

Imho Bloodstone is his core item after Mekansm and Boots. Furthermore thinking about Bloodstone as a core item allows you to get Arcane Boots early on and to dismantle them later for a Bloodstone. I can't stress enough how much I like Arcane Boots in the early game on this hero. It enables you to spam Pulse without getting kills or a lot of last hits.



After Mek, Boots and Bloodstone there are four options of items you should get:
1) Getting focused: Pipe or Heart (Ghost Scepter) and you becoe a bulletsponge (well, a spellsponge)
2) Taking some damage in fights, but staying alive log enough to grant a lot of healing: Scepter or Dagon for more kills = more regeneration to spam Pulse
3) Not getting focused at all: Damage - Skadi or Scepter
4) The enemy team got a hero that just demolishes your team with his autpattacks? Scythe / Shivas / Eul


While Force Staff is fun and can have its uses I don't recommend it on Necro. He needs to survive quite some time in team fights to unlock his full potential and Force Staff doesn't really offer an opportunity to escape from team fights once they started. Someone else should get the Staff if needed. You only should consider Force Staff is you just can't farm anything else because you get ganked a lot. (Force Staff is cheap, offers a bit of mana for more heals and escape from ganks before the fight starts)

Oh, one more thing. Your ultimate works like a stun that goes through BKB -> stopping Enigma from casting a Black Hole from quite some range without delay (even though the damage is dealt at the end of the animation) is sometohng a lot of players forget.

Great guide although I won't say that Heartstopper's Aura loses it's touch entirely late game, only if the enemy have ****-crazy HP regen.

Good guide. I first played Necro, liked the hero then saw your guide. I did almost the same as your guide show and it`s quite a good item build. Next time I`m gonna do Shiva`s instead of Agh`s and see how it works.

Now please fix the wrong uses of "your" instead of "you`re", you did it quite a lot. I`m not a grammar nazi I just find that very annoying.
