TangoNCash, I would love to thank you for this guild. The first time I played Slark was in all random in my first week of playing. Played him wrong, fed, and lost. I hated him, but later I learned I was playing him wrong, read 2 Slark guides (Yours being the first and the one that got me into him), and now about half my games have been with Slark, and he is by far my favorite and best character. Thank you ever so much. +1
Thanks! I've always been puzzled about what to do if you want to build into orchid. You need early survivability but you also need the orchid super early, I'll try this point booster strat.
Pretty Awesome Guide. I first experiment with more standard guides (SnY etc.), but after playing A LOT of Slark, this strikes me as the most reasonable by far. I'd agree with pretty much all the item reasonings as well. Definitely +1.
The only thing I've come to change is that after going drum-yasha or drum-diffusal in a lot of games is to replace the drum by an early pointbooster, in particular when going diffusal or orchid. Those items already give me all the INT i need and chasing or escaping is not an issue with yasha or diffusal anyways, so the only reason for the drum is survivability. For this, the point booster is better and i can build it into a Skadi later on (and I'm almost always starved for item slots with slark).
The Soul Ring build is in the fourth tab. I'm not nuts about it myself because there are more costefficient (although less reliable) ways to deal with mana issues -- treads wand and a drum usually does it for me. But to each his own!
And yes, percentage move speed buffs from different items do stack. You can't stack %-based movespeed buffs from yasha-derived items, but everything else works.
DOTAFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new hero, or fine tune your favorite DotA hero’s build and strategy.
All aside, this is a well-made guide.

I like the guide, one suggestion is soul ring. It scales the ENTIRE game. It lets you spam dark park when pushing, infinite leaps, great stats.
Percent move speed from items does not stack. Drum and Yasha should not stack there buffs.
