I don't think you understand. It's only in low-tier games you could justify battlefury. Realize BH is a top-tier pick competitively, and it's not just for track.

Shadow blade isn't for the escape (it's not bad, +20% movespeed and shorter fade time than shadow walk, separate cooldown and works while silenced). It's for the burst damage. You can one-shot supports from 15-25 minutes with it.

Plus it's cost-efficient DPS besides. It's only 3K for +30as/+30damage.

Shadow blade? Bounty Hunter already has an invisibility skill, he doesn't need another. As I said earlier, this build is not intended only for lower tier games where invisibility is never countered. A shadow blade 'might' work for you if you're playing against people who don't get dust/sentries, but if you're playing against a team that does, it's a useless item in my opinion.

I agree that treads would give you the boost to attack speed to semi-carry, but I find the Phase Boots work for me earlier in the game for chasing, as well as the extra burst damage.

True, he can get gold from Track, but if your team isn't doing well in team-fights, or the enemy is 5 man pushing towers, you might need some supplemental income from neuts/waves. Also the cleave from the Battle Fury coupled with the guaranteed critical from Jinada can really work well in situations where the enemy is grouped up close (Darkseer, Magnus, Enigma etc)

Other main benefits of this item are the hp/mana regen with the damage/cleave all in one convenient item slot.

thanks for the comment

Battlefury but not shadow blade? And if you're 'hard carry' bounty hunter you typically get treads, not phase.

Bounty hunter can't really keep up with even semihardcarries like jugg/DK unless he has a massive farm advantage, and he doesn't really clear camps that quickly.

If you're up against an illusion hero or are down a rax maybe, but I'd argue every other game shadow blade is the best item you can get.
