That's cuz you're playing it wrong. You shouldn't try to play a carry if you want to play as a ganker/nuker.
That's the whole point of getting stats?
I tried this build and it kinda works.
he is a carry nuker, all but one of his skills are nukes. he fires a nuke as his ulti so... if it quacks like a duck and looks like a duck then its a duck. carrys need gold, gold comes from either stacking creeps or ganking heroes and gyro is for ganking heroes, getting stats early is good for some guys who dont really need their abilitys early game but gyro needs his nukes to secure kills to get gold to establish his place as a carry. in addition you have not tried this build you're simply pretending you did so your arguement doesnt flop as soon as someone gives it a good look. there is only one hero who is only a carry and that is outworld destroyer, gyro is a disabler/nuker carry.
tried this build, doesnt work at all, due to the lack of rocket and missile i had no nukes to secure kills and flak cannon is only good later on. all those stats dont help much at all since his stat gains arent amazing .
hmm - you do know that you can use rocket barage and flak cannon at the same time? I understand why you build this way, but I bet you 4 levels of rocket barrage, compared to 4 levels of stats will deal more damage in fight. Gyro has a short attack range, make rocket barrage a skill that synergises well with his range.. plus it has a 5.5 sec cd, meaning you can spam the f**ker.
though I can see why you would max flak cannon, it is a great skill, and means you can harass without taking creep agro, but your base dmg is so poor that you might not even be able to clear a whole wave in 6 hits.. :s
I don't understand why Radiance is core on him. He lacks the real survivability to hold it. As well, homing missile and rocket barrage are his best early game skills. Flak cannon is only really useful for clearing creep waves and teamfight in the late game when he has a bit of damage.
Honestly, the problem with Gryo is he doesn't fit a specific role. I consider him a semi-carry and I actually like to play him as a lane-control support. I might actually make a guide for him some time.
Have you tried this build yet? By forgoing missile and rocket, you have the survivability from the stats added. If you maxed missile and rocket, it will make you useless in lane, only thing you can do is spam missile. Maxing flak cannon at level 7 and pumping stats gives you the ultimate lane control. You can easily zone the enemy by simply shooting the creep. Radiance complements your flak cannon terrifically both for farming and fights.

Listen to Atlas, he's a great adviser. Also why you make all hero carry?
Carry is the way to win pub games :)
