Something that helped me learn Invoker a tiny bit at least is that you can tell what elements are in a spell based on the colors. For my photographic memory at least, it was easier to remember 'lots of blue, bit of purple' for Ghost Walk than 'Q, Q, W'. Not sure if this is a common thought process since I just started, but I thought I'd comment on it as well as thanking you for this guide. As someone who just got Dota 2 today and stumbled upon the ohgodwhysodifficult character, this particular guide helped me out quite a bit.

Pretty difficult hero, if you can't master all 10 combinations, try and make macros for it. Or resume to 4-5 for the start, that's how I started. In 2 days from ****, I got to decent. That's about 7 matches. If one can do it, everyone can,

Please 1 addition: in lieu of blink dagger, the force staff is excellent on invoker. Its stats compliment you very well, and it will help you achieve the same thing, being a quasi-initiator in team fights. Most pro builds I've seen recently have a force staff.

Certainly. I honestly really should have added that a while ago. A lot of the item choices or lack of them are really bad, and I will fix it... soon. Probably tomorrow if I remember.

Super guide, the image of the spell "triangle" is super helpful to me for some reason. The "trainer" is also amazing and has really helped me when it comes to quickly invoking spells in chaotic team fights.

Hand of Midas is nice for Invoker. Quick level 17 and blink, force and scepter underway in under 20 minutes

Yeah, I saw Dendi build it (once) in TI2. It's really good on him considering how level dependent he is.

I'll probably add it (with other stuff) soon.

Also +Rep. I use this build over and over again, and my opponents wonder why the hell they didn't pick invoker themselves :D The spell combination tester was really helpful getting me playing invoker well. +Rep for the guy who made that game :P

Should i get (1/2) Null Talisman(s) and a magic wand early on or just stick with the basic guide?

Null Talismans are great items if you want some more early game presence, and Wands are great if you're against spammy lanes/enemies (Batrider, for example, rather than Pudge).

Both are situational!
