I never once said that the backstab works on illu, what i did say was that, like naga, the mana burn works on the illusions. the illusions will most likely deal around 50 damage each along with massive mana burn and with the diffusal slow they can get a few hits in, as well as dodging stuns and dispelling things, i have to say that people have opinions, but manta is better than s&y on riki. thats a fact, end off.

The problem with riki is that he has no regen item, this leads to vlads rush. Vlads is a terrible item on riki as it doesn't give much survivability, or any major damage, its a mediocre item. Vanguard lets you jungle if you need to, and will enable you to survive early ganks with ease and you can tower dive incredibly effectively. It does delay your diffusal, but an orb of venom early will compensate, try the items then flame me buddy :)

hey now, i didn't flame :( i just pointed out that backstab doesnt do real dammage, since it is written that 'illusions get the backstab modifier', kinda vague.
and as for the vanguard, unless you are getting every last hit in lane, with the help of supports, u might as well skip it or just leave it at RoH for the regen, because a 15-20 minute diffusal would be much better than 20-25 one.
other than that i agree with everything else, and the early OoV orb :)

illusions don't get the backstab modifier, it is ony a visual thing to confuse the enemy. like how naga siren's illusions all throw nets, but only 1 is real.
and vanguard isn't really needed, it delays your diffusal a lot, and doesn't give much benefit to riki from nukers, which are his main gankers early on.
