Dude, it's a cool guide but there are a few things where u actually can save some money. Like according to ur build u will get a vanguard in probably 8th lvl and u r maxing blur around that time which is kind of too much defensive when u r taking the easy laning tower and going to farm anyway till midgame without most probably being in team fights.(this is personal suggestion though....). I mean during that time if u have blur its too much probable u wont die in ganks at all, instead of a vanguard u get poor mans shield.....this way u make faster bkb and bf. Then u go for basher or mkb.the money u saved will give u a boost where in lvl 16 u become a profound assasin( as the name suggests). The other guy will die without even realising what just happened :P.

@jaslam.
ya i do miss some last hit due to random crits. for laning it can be a nuisance but in most of my games, i am forced to do part time jungling. lanes can be brutal sometimes. the crit is there for that purpose i guess. but it wont hurt your game much if you choose not to learn it. in the end it is more to personal preference.
@hades4u.
helm can be good but we dont really need it unless it is very late. the 12 hp/sec regen is strong enough to make you survive until late game. most people get it since they dont have survivability item. but since i have vanguard it is out of the picture to get more of it. early to mid game life steal is not needed in my case.
Even though Phases seems to be the way to go in the perspective of Mort, its more a personal preference. Either way both provide you with the damage and movement speed which is crucial for carries such as Mort. In saying that, Mort does not use large amounts of mana like Skeleton King or Life Stealer, so temporary stat gain from Power Treads is not as beneficial as you might think.
cool guide - well justified skill build.
My only suggestion, if your not going for hero kills, don't get Coup de Grace at 6, as based on your build, you won't be needing it. the odd crit sometimes messus up your last hit.
In my opinon treads are better for Mort, but it is down to the game - if you're aiming to farm, phase is better for the damage, if you expect lots of clashing treads stats and AS are better.
the thing is mortred will again 100 attack speed from her 1st skill, so she does not really need that 25 atk spd. i do agree that carries need attack speed. but phase gives you amazing tool to chase and run. the phase ability is also really helpful in many cases. i will go for treads if i play ranged but i think melee needs are different.
On a carry, Treads are better than Phases because 25 attack speed is better than 24 damage, not to mention the attributes.
That's not always true though, and especially in this case.
Treads are more of a general item, and the attack speed is nice as well as the stats, but you can't say that is BETTER than phase boots. Phase gives more damage as well as a great speed boost, which on PA is very handy. And more specifically, certain heroes benefit more from the straight damage. PA does because it makes her crit that much better, as well she already gets an attack speed boost via her blink.

If you are pubbing go straight for treads and Mask of Madness :).
LOL
the stackage of the blink, treads and 50 attack speed from mask wrecked people in Dota 1.

here is a you tube link for a match between navi and mousesports. xboct went for phase --> vang --> bkb. for me this match justifies a lot of the points i made in my guide.
