Hello everyone! I'm Trxfxlgxr (also my username on Steam). This is my first DOTAFIRE Dota2 Hero Guide. I'm fond of playing video games since birth (lol). I've played a LOT of video games except Dota. Like, I found it really difficult to grasp (referring to the first Dota). I tried to avoid it way back. So yeah xD I just started playing Dota2 and I'm no pro. Here's a simple, super simple guide for beginners to learn. Yesss, the Drow Ranger Traxex! Please feel free to correct me. Positive comments and feedback are highly appreciated. Drow Ranger's given name is Traxexa name well suited to the short, trollish, rather repulsive Drow people. But Traxex herself is not a Drow. Her parents were travelers in a caravan set upon by bandits, whose noisy slaughter of innocents roused the ire of the quiet Drow people. After the battle settled, the Drow discovered a small girl-child hiding in the ruined wagons, and agreed she could not be abandoned. Even as child, Traxex showed herself naturally adept at the arts they prized: Stealth, silence, subtlety. In spirit, if not in physique, she might have been a Drow changeling, returned to her proper home. But as she grew, she towered above her family and came to think of herself as ugly. After all, her features were smooth and symmetrical, entirely devoid of warts and coarse whiskers. Estranged from her adopted tribe, she withdrew to live alone in the woods. Lost travelers who find their way from the forest sometimes speak of an impossibly beautiful Ranger who peered at them from deep among the trees, then vanished like a dream before they could approach. Lithe and stealthy, icy hot, she moves like mist in silence. That whispering you hear is her frozen arrows finding an enemy's heart.
PROS
Drow Ranger's role: Hard Carry. Drow Ranger excels at laning.
Do not gank until after level 6 (wait for your Ultimate). I always go to bottom with a hero. Drow Ranger is a reliable carry. You can support your team with your Frost Arrows and Gust to silence. Your Precision Aura can help the team's range heroes. Drow Ranger is a beginner friendly hero as her skills are simple and straightforward :)
Frost Arrows - Powerful and reliable slow (movement speed slow max 60%) that you can use to chase down escaping enemy heroes (they're doomed if they do not have a Black King Bar. Don't use the skill automatically. Make sure the autocast isn't toggled on as it will conflict with your lifesteal. Use it manually. Slow your enemies shot after shot as they flee! :D
Gust - Drow Ranger's game changing skill (that's 6 second silence once maxed!). It doesn't stop enemy heroes from using of items though. Still an epic ability in mid game team fights.
Precision Aura - Adds bonus damage to the physical attack of your team's ranged heroes based on a percentage of your agility. You get more agility and your fellow allied heroes get stronger too.
Marksmanship - Drow Ranger's ultimate. This skill provides bonus agility (bonus attack speed and attack damage).
