Introduction

Dark Seer is considered to be a support hero. But due to his Vacuum and Surge he can be a good ganker; he's immaculate pusher because of Ion Shell and perfect initiator thanks to Wall of Replica. How does a hero trully needs to play? It is for you to decide!

Gameplay

Here I'll try to explain the way I play the Dark Seer and share with you some tips and tricks.

Begining

At the begining you should buy: Tango, Clarity, Salve, Stout Shield and some branches. If you're the only support in team, then buy a courier. While staying at the line try to play agressively. Don't spare your mana for Ion Shell, cause it does preety nice damage at the begining and it doesn't let your enemies farm properly. Here goes a nice skill combination: you put Ion Shell on your creep, then you pull the enemy with Vacuum to that creep, after that you use Surge, run in front of the enemy and use Shell on yourself. If your lane-teammate is not a dumb, then this will be a frag. For sure, it requires a good reaction and practice. Your goal at the begining is to break at least one tower on your lane.

Mid game

Now you have to decide what you're going to build. Your core items, no doubt, are Magic Wand, Soul Ring and Phase Boots. If you're playing against physical damagers such as Axe, Tidehunter, etc., then your weapon of choise should be a Vanguard. If you're playing against magical damagers aka nukers, you're gonna pick the Hood of Defience. By this time you're obviously got your ultimate. There are 2 ways to use it: 1) Use the Wall and then draw off the enemies to the wall with Vacuum; 2) Run with Surge behind enemies' backs and use the ultimate on them. At the mid game your role is reduced to ganking everything that moves. Be fast and efficient. Also don't hesitate of buying TP scrolls, Smoke of Deceit, cause those are great ganking items.

Late game

At the late game you become an annoying d*ck, which is really hard to kill. If you decided to be tanky, then buy Heart of Tarasque and Blade Mail. Assault Cuirass perfectly complements these two artefacts. If you prefer Intelligence to Strenght, then great purchase would be Hex, Shiva's Guard and Aghanim's Scepter. You can also upgrade your Hood to the Pipe of Insight, if you not sure about your magical resistance (this item greatly counters Lich and Lina's ultimate).

Remember that Dark Seer is very unusual hero. To play effectively, you must play a lot and really hard. But in a short time, you'll succeed and understand that your job wasn't vain.
