Introduction

Prophet has a wide variety of potential item builds due to him being relevant at almost all points of the game. He is a terrific split pusher, pusher, 1v1 laner(including mid in some matchups)and can farm well.

Advantages of prophet are:

    Can lane almost anywhere
Can farm faster than most carries
    Able to contribute globally
Can farm more efficiently than other carries and farm where it would be too risky for carries

Disadvantages of Prophet are:
    Squishy
His Sprouts aren't very good against experienced players

Offlane Natures Prophet (Position 3)

Offlane prophet is where prophet is mostly played in this meta at higher skill tiers as his treants provide great harass to enemies as well as mess with creep equilibrium to make sure the lane comes towers your tower where you can farm safely.

Offlane prophet in 1v1 offlane is extremely strong at not only harassing the enemy but being able to help your carry and mid if they get ganked as well as being able to help securing first blood

A common mistake I see people making with Natures prophet is that they neglect to get sheep/orchid/necro and go for maelstrom. The problem with this is that it leaves your hero with ok pushing potential while being pretty weak in ganks in comparison to the other 3 item choices. Sheep also makes you tankier and allows you to survive ganks you may of otherwise died from such as against a clockwerk.

Mid Natures Prophet

Mid natures prophet build is extremely situational and as such you should build accordingly, although most item builds will work.

Jungle Natures (Position 4)

Jungle Prophet is a precarious role in some circumstances as his jungling is easy to shut down. When you pick jungle natures you have to trust that your carry can handle the opposing lane with just the position 5 support to help him. Jungle natures is only done in greedier lineups because natures prophet isnt incredibly useful in a 3v3.

Benefits of prophet jungle is that you will have a very rich position 4 support as prophet tends to farm more efficiently than most other heroes.

Natures Prophet can also rush for a quick medallion to allow your team to take an early rosh.

Hard Carry Prophet (Position 1)

This style of prophet is fairly risky without a coordinated team as hard carry prophet is generally only used with a pushing/ganking lineup. Prophet hard carry main weakness is that he can't let the game go late as he gets outcarry by most other carries.

Conclusion

Thank you for reading my guide and please comment if there are any disagreements with the builds. This is my first guide i'd love to hear your criticism.
