Hey guys, this is my new beta guide to Mirana, The Princess of the Moon (PotM). (WiP Work in Progress). This build will include the brand new 6.87 aghinem's scepter for Mirana! The build will revolve around building Mirana appropriately with her new, overpowered Agh's. AN IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: DON'T YOU DARE CHANGE THIS BUILD, IT IS SET IN STONE! IF YOU DARE TRY VALVE WILL NEVER RELEASE PITLORD!! IF I SEE YOU DARE BUILD AN AQUILA INSTEAD OF URN, OR DARE TO SKIP THE STARTING BUILD EVEN A BIT, SAY GOODBYE TO PITLORD FOREVER!!!
Your role in this build should be a fun, roaming, space-creating semi-support position 3-4. With an aghinem's scepter, it does not turn you into a crazy carry Mirana, but a seriously intimidating-to-approach nuker. Before setting up ganks, it is VERY important to communicate with your team.
As a carry run your role is similar except you will focus on farming more. You will still run around the map and set up kills with your ultimate. You are a crazy nuking fighting machine that is a real force to be reckoned with. Her nuke potential is greatly underestimated when she picks up an aghinems, nobody is used to it. Feel free to fire point-blank arrows because you miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Gretsky
The order in which you buy drums/blademail/aghinems is situational and up to you. I would recommend buying either drums or blademail before or after aghinems scepter.
Bloodthorn is a great item for mirana because is gives her a nice silence so that the target can't nuke / stun her and the damage allows her to carry with great right click damage for herself and her team.
Blademail with the new changes as of 6.87 is a lot better. A big problem mirana comes up with an aghinems scepter is that she can die quickly. You want to stay alive for at least 8 seconds in a fight to have your passive starstorm trigger twice. To keep yourself alive longer, a blademail may be the way to go.
Once the game begins, help secure your midlaner the rune. Keep a decent distance away before the rune spawn and look for a beautiful arrow to possibly get an easy first blood. After that, roam to whatever lane you think will need some extra help or a lane that has kill potential. A great option would be to go the the enemies mid highground outside of fog vision and try to hit the enemy midlaner with an arrow for another possible kill and to secure your midlaner his farm. After that, just roam around and f*** s*** up!
Oh, and another IMPORTANT AND CRITICAL side note, before you go for an arrow, make sure you type this in the all chat:
This is really important because you want your foes to BabyRage as much as possible!
PEEEEDUUUURRRRR!
Pros and Cons for Mirana include...
+ High nuking power
+ Ability to setup ganks
+ Extremely versatile
+ Doesn't rely on farm
+ Very good early-late game (not ultra late)
+ Good escape tools
+ Can deal damage (arrows) from afar
+ Very satisfying to hear "bulls-eye!"
+ Great at setting up kills
- Squishy
- Useless if disabled and nuked down before she can fight
- Poor at counter-fighting (relies on setting up and executing fights, if she is engaged on with a stun she cannot leap away and she is squishy)
- Spell reliant
Mirana is countered by disables, nukes, and right clickers.
Mirana's main counters include:
Lycan
Zeus
Bounty Hunter
Broodmother
Chen
Lone Druid
Abaddon
Arc Warden
Mirana counters heroes that require good positioning (as she has a great ability to setup kills) and squishy heroes. Honorable mentions include:
Medusa
Sniper
Weaver
Troll Warlord
Razor
Bristleback
Witch doctor
Windranger
Your starting build consists of a tango, salve, 2 clarities, an optional ward, and a circlet. The healing is useful after your rune fight and for standard reasons, clarities to shoot arrows and a circlet for some great cheap stats that will later be built into a null talisman.
Your early game items consist of boots, bottle (optional), urn (optional), null talisman. optional wards and standard tp scrolls. Bottle can be very usefull when roaming around for that extra regen and mana. Urn is great to make yourself more tanky and give yourself a heal. You should be participating in most of the kills. If someone on your team is already getting an urn or a bottle, skipping them can be viable. AN IMPORTANT SIDE NOT: Hey, nothing is optional! If one of your teammates grabs an urn, tell them to go f*** themselves and buy it anyways! Remember what I said before? Nothing is optional! If the wards are out of stock and you couldn't buy them, feel free to visit leagueoflegends.com/signup.
Damnit, Mirana's boots of choice is so situational! Why couldn't everything be so easy? I mean, anti mage always buys power treads! Generally, it just depends on your own preference and playstyle. All of the boots can be great in different situations, it is your call. ANOTHER IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: If you cannot decide which boots to buy, consider buying all of em. Mirana has 2 feet and her mount has 4, so pick up as many boots as you please!
Ah yes! The new 6.87 aghinems scepter! Is volvo ever going to stop buffing mirana? I can already sense the upcoming nerfs! Mirana's new aghinems scepter upgrade allows her to passively drop down a free wave of starstorm every 8 seconds! If no enemies are in sight, the Starstorm will drop once someone comes into range. This is an AMAZING nuking ability, and it will greatly increase your teamfighting skills, farming speed, AoE clearing (yes, goodbye cancer lancer), and overall makes your enemies want to take you out of the fight quickly. Keep yourself alive, and everything will die. To greatly synergize your aghinems upgrade, transform your null talisman into a veil of discord. With the - magic resistance, your foes will fall at the sight of your beautiful face! The added armor and stats from veil are great to tank up and keep yourself alive for more starstorms! Situationally, you can pickup a drum instead of veil, and if you do, do not build null talisman at the start and replace it with a bracer or nothing.
If you just happen to end up super rich, these are just a few great picks for Mirana to pickup. Remember, at this stage you should also be saving up for buyback and transforming your boots of choice into boots or travel. The new hurricane pipe may also be viable if you arrow initiate, have passive starstorm hit the enemy, then hurricane pipe them to buy time. After buying time attacking each other, passive starstorm should have enough time to double hit them again after leaping forward. I have not tried this so I'm not sure if it is any good.
Thank you guys very much for supporting my guide! I just started this guide and I will try to update it as I try out the build! The guide is far from complete. Go have fun hitting arrows!
Thanks for your support, don't you dare leave a thumbs up or a comment!
