The biggest surprise/disappointment for me in the DAC has to be Newbee. I mean, what gives? Are these the same guys that won TI4? Has xiao8's departure been that much of a detriment?

I actually think it has been, they were a great team, and I think the TEAM part is what made them so good. The centerpiece of that machine leaving puts them in a bad place I think. Not to say they aren't great players, but what put them over the top is how they gelled and how they followed their leader.
I got to Notable, Thanks!

*warning rumour alert*

i read that they dont train. they play an RPG constantly like before game one they were up till the early morning playing this Chinese RPG and then after day 2 they played it for like 6 hours.

they dont train and their manager is not fussed or trying to get them to train.

they have 1 million US dollars each ...

you know how much money is that to chinese players?

thats like them set for life.they dont have to win for years now.

but thats just a rumour. which i can not confirm for a fact. so take it with a pinch of salt.

I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL.... WITH FLUFFY BUNNIES

It wouldn't surprise me one bit, a million dollars is a lot of money (I know I could live comfortably for the rest of my life on a million dollars) and it is very possible they simply aren't motivated enough now that they've gotten their money. My summary of the DAC so far is this: Newbee showed up to collect a paycheck, Team Secret showed up to win.
