I have been trying to play as him this patch but I lost basically all my games with him. I find it hard because he doesn't really have anything to contribute with to his team.

If you gank you will most likely not be able to get a kill because of his low dps. If you teleport to a hero with full hp its straight up suicide in most situations. You can be extremely lucky to catch a hero off guard with low hp but that's about it.

If you push you will most likely not make it far because of his low dps and his squishy treants. You may get the first tower but if you continue to push beyond that you will most likely never make it to the second tower without being ganked repetitively. It's also not really *that* hard to defend against a group of slow, squishy low dps treants, especially when you can see them coming from miles away.

The only time pushing with NP works is when all five enemy heroes are teamfighting, because then you finally have enough time to push a tower. But then again, you are setting your team mates in a serious disadvantage, they will most likely lose the team fight from being one man down from the start, and the enemy team will continue to push your towers and possibly raxes as well. So you get 1 tower in exchange for a lost team fight, lost towers and possibly lost raxes. Seems like a horrible trade if you ask me.

Carrying with natures prophet sucks because he is extremely item dependant if you are building him as a carry, and by the time you get your items the enemy hard carry will have had enough time to get farmed and stomp your team.

I have been trying various builds and playstyles and I just can't seem to figrue out how to play him. Is he just straight up bad this patch? Dotabuff says his winrate is about 42%.
