Sven got buffed to insane levels in 7.06. Stacking is back, and your ult now gives you extra damage AND health.

When 7.00 dropped, helm lost the lifesteal component. Would you recommend getting a morbid mask before or after helm or is it a waste of money?

Looks like you accidentally skilled your ults / talents at the wrong levels. The new levels for ults are 6/ 12 / 18 and talents you can get at 10+ / 15+, but you have 3 levels where you've selected taking talents.

Thanks, forgot to update the talent build. I need to do that in my Visage guide as well. Thanks for the reminder!

Haha thanks for keeping up with the guide :) It's been updated for 7.01 but his gameplay and builds are almost exactly the same as the previous patch.

I would say that this is the best Sven guide on Dotafire. Thanks for making this. It gave me a much better understanding of the new meta and farming efficiency.

There could be another view on your game. If u had pick a full lane support, i.e. Shadow Shaman, you could have pushed them before their greedy lineup starts to work. Even when u support your DK ord OD hard at lane.

If you're wondering how support Sven works, I played a game last night and below is the dotabuff link to the game. If you look at their team you can immediately see why I picked support Sven. Their team relied almost entirely on physical damage, and we had Outworld Devourer and Dragon Knight, two heroes that benefit greatly from Sven's Aghanim's Scepter God's Strength. We almost lost in the midgame, but when I picked up my Agh's, the enemy team didn't stand a chance against our physical damage. And with Vladmir's Offering, Solar Crest, and Warcry, I was able to mitigate a ton of their damage in teamfights. Support Sven isn't always the best pick, but when it's a good pick, it's a VERY good pick. I would go so far as to say any other hero pick would have lost us the game except maybe Omniknight.

Well, this guide isn't really geared toward new players. I wrote this guide for more experienced players who are already familiar with the game. There are a ton of Sven guides that are more geared toward new players so if you're looking for something like that, there are plenty of guides of guides to help you learn Sven. But once you have some experience with him, then this guide will make a lot more sense :)

Well, there are a couple of builds you can go.

Max Q: When you have a dual vs dual or dual vs ranged lane that you want to kill the other lane. Usually your support has another stun to follow it up.

Max W: When you're playing 1v1, melee vs melee, the cleave can help zone the other person.

Max E: When you're need the armor (against Techies)

Good guide but I really disagree with your levelling order. I think that in any Sven character role you should always level your stun first. Then when you get everything else to moderate levels, you should max. it out. This is just my personal opinion but it's your guide.

Try and watch some of the recent professional games with Sven in them, they get 1 or 2 points in their other skills (really anything they need, just to bide time until after level 6), then max Cleave and push out lane and snowball your farming, allowing you to get kills with a faster Blink Dagger or what ever item you go for first.
