Because you want to 2-3 shot the enemies attack speed isnt necessary.Its the same reason why you pick phase boots over treads.
it isnt about the attack speed. its about the evasion. it almost doubles your effective hit points. because when you evade an attack you dont lose refraction charges
I only know about two supports who actually bother to pick up medallion.

I have clearly xplained that Medallion isnt bad on templar it works good but its better if some support hero gets it because you gonna sell it later on and you need those 1075 gold for your core items.Linken is too much gold and you should get bkb instead.
