I have a question about pehonix: does refresher work because in theory u can cast ur abilities then ult then abilities then refresh then abilities then ult then abilities but I doubt there would really be any team fight that lasts long enough for that to happen

well, it's just like you said there's not enough time.
when your supernova is successfully landed, most of the heroes are already dead or run away or stunned so you won't have much value from double supernova because your enemy will either run away from low hp or kill your egg because your teammates are dead

Refresher is a good late game item, yes. However it only pays off if you can land Supernova without dying. If you have a setup from your team like Overgrowth, Black Hole etc that guarantees that your egg can't be killed, being able to ult twice in a fight is really good. Refreshing your Q and E is also legit.

I am like to play the Phoenix with sunray too. Sanray is very long range AOE Skill that damage enemy in percentage of their Max HP. It good to fight with high HP hero and good heal to your team mate.

I usually play Phoenix in support role. My core items are Tranquil Boot and Force Staff. These two item enough for all need in support role, other gold spend for team(ward, dust, smoke, gems, TP).

1. Tranquil Boot -- regenerate HP for Dive and other skill
2. Force Staff -- increase some mana pool for combo
3. Force Staff -- and Dive make Phoenix to high motivation
4. Force Staff -- can help your friend life
5. Force Staff -- can call enemy to your team position

I think you seriously about mana problem but my game play with 2 items will never seen mana problem. The Supernova is the answer. When fighting, use Sunray to heal your tanker and damage enemy in the same time, and start Fire spirit and fire to the enemy. When Sunray terminated, dive to the fighting area then start Supernova. When you comeback from Supernova, you can use all skill again with max mana pool.

In lane phase use Dive + tango to force your enemy that why I start game with 2 sets of Tango. Try to buy Tranquil Boots quickly and after the boots you don't need more Tango.

My luxury items are Dagon, Shadow Blade, Makansm, Radiance (depend on situation).

sure, force staff is always good for support heroes :)
but my playstyle is little different because I will always stay far on the rear avoiding getting caught by enemies disable so I can dive and supernova in the middle of the fight and heal my team

the reason I have mana problem is because I usually spam sun ray in the early game when I lvl 3-7 so,, yeah I recommend Urn for mana regen and not using supernova to just heals my hp and mana since it has pretty long cooldown. And always remember my friend, there's a fight when you shouldn't use your supernova so timing and placement are everything :D

not sure if dagon and shadow blade is right items because phoenix is more like dive, heal, area skills/items and attracts aggro but thx for the tip
