Crystal Maiden update for all those interested: Kiev has been a CM orgy, with practically every team picking her (and the hero now sitting at a total 54.44% win rate).
Skill build remains unchanged, mostly 1 point in each active and 2 in aura by 4, then a mix of maxing whatever needed first (mostly Aura) and getting ulti at 6 always.
I have NEVER seen such a fantastic guide! It's not only explaining ABSOLUTELY everything about the hero, but also about the role the hero must fullfil! The guide is extremely fun to read, because... it's just beautiful! Thank you for creating it! +1, really deserved +1.
I wanted to know if you would allow me to make a video about this guide. I had an Idea where I get guides from DotaFire and I will put it on a video with your credits ofcourse. Please Reply as soon as possible. I badly want to make dota 2 guides from dotafire since no one is doing it. Thank you.
Oh ahah thank you for your initiative Spuddy, it sounds amazing indeed, but I actually am making myself a video from this guide for a site with which I'm working now, so I'm sorry but its "rights" have been bought already =/ As soon as I have everything done I will finally announce here what site it is and all.
Keep trying with other guides from dotafire though, there is a lot of quality stuff lying around! Good luck!
That's awesome but unfortunately very easily countered by detection such as Dust of Appearance or even Sentry Wards, specially since you have to stay still there :)
I used to enjoy a lot invisibility for CM when I started playing her, but that was a long, long time ago, and now I know that the best allies you have to channel your ulti are positioning and good sense. If you're going into the fight only when the disables are used out anyway what do you need invis for? And that's not YOLO at all, since if the disables are used out chances are the teamfight is nearing its end and you didn't participate... :D
Get a Glimmer Cape if you go for the Shadow Amulet, because it will help you and/or your teammates survive a lot more.
CM is on of my fav hero, i do play support and semi support.
i have this kind of YOLO play style with CM.
i usually go with tranquil boots, then shadow amulet then dagger.
i prefer shadow amulet only because it have permanent invisible, and i can be living wards for a moment.
and for skills i do max frostbite. and get ulti once i lv6 no matter who i am facing, since i am CM and i gonna REKT everyone :D
and everytime i do the combo, shadow amulet blink in the middle of the war (of course after all the disabler skills out) frostbite someone, then ulti, the enemies just be like " o sh1t oh sh1t cm ulti but i can see him, run for your life RUNNNNNN "
Nice guide! I think I used your build after my 5 losses on CM. Finally I successfully finished my hero challenge on CM. And yeah, I won after using it. Thanks. :) +1
Oh yeahhh, congratulations! That's so rewarding to hear, it's what I made this guide for :D Thank you!

DOTAFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new hero, or fine tune your favorite DotA hero’s build and strategy.

Regarding the items we were also right, Tranquil Boots is still the number one choice (I didn't see Brown boots), followed by whatever needed, from Urn of Shadows to Glimmer Cape to some Hand of Midas. Very flexible stuff. Saw some Medallion of Courages too for later Solar Crests, and I'm still not convinced by the Ethereal Blades since I see the CMs die before using them on teammates ahah
Here's some examples for reference (best CM's IMO first):

Nice.
But I'm feeling like finally upgrading the guide, now that there are tasty talents and CM is so meta!

Im pretty sure shes a grill, atleast if she managed to fool me that must have been some very good makeup.

Great guide! CM is one of my favorite supports and I agree with most of your points. Really thorough and well presented. +1!
Also, for English not being your native language, your writing is really, really good.
Thank you very much! CM's also my favourite support :)

Of course, I already gave you one when the guide came out. :P
