All of you people should read about liberty: the thing charlie hebdo is/was insensitive to.
Then again , you should read about freedom of expression: What Those idiot "jihadis"(i dont think it is a holy war) are insensitive towards.


The question arising here is , What is the reconciliation where liberty and free speech meet with respect towards a religion.?
You can say what you like sure, but where do you pay regard to others' right to liberty and free speech.?

When free will collides, dire consequences follow. History is fraught with consequences, all of them followed a clash of wills.

The answer is not clear. Because it is not a general one; it is more of your rendition towards YOU understanding of religion, freedom and liberty all the while your understanding and respect towards others liberty. The answer is personal. It is your insight. Hence it differs man to man.

All in all, liberty and true freedom is lost cause. Can you be free enough to take someone's life?
Can you be free enough to say and portray bad things about some religion that is the most followed religion of the world?

No.
But the former is more objectionable than the latter. Way more.

He has a penchant to be apolitical and indifferent towards religion( something that the world needs in my opinion). The main character here is someone who thinks that religion should not be made a big deal and might have a bias towards reward and punishment type of deal.

Otherwise than from religion, he is a free thinker and idealistic at heart. Unfortunately idealism is misunderstood as he is weak at being articulate. He is very weak at mathematics and might suffer at school as his grades may substantiate. However, should he choose to learn, he is very well placed to learn deductive reasoning.
