Hell Occultist

Deep below in the Underhollow the Old Demons hunger. They grow restless. Far above, a husk of a being prowls the lands searching for satiation. Not for him, he needs not nourishment, but for his Master. He knows not how he ended up serving; glimpses of memories of a world beyond this one, a wall, a tremendous loss of life... and then here. Dark tendrils snake inside his mind, choking any identity from him, pulling strings to make him serve. He seeks sacrifices; blood, lives, souls. Once he finds a suitable meal he can trap their soul for his collecting, calls forth grasping dead from below to pull the victim towards him, and then with deadly magic steals their blood for his Master.

Deep below in the Underhollow the Old Demons do not hunger anymore. They are ready to come forth and wreak havoc among the helpless.


Hell Occultist is a Ranged Intelligence Support who uses his spells to control his opponents; binding the souls of units to heal or damage nearby heroes upon death, pulling unfortunate enemies towards their death, damaging enemies to slow them or damaging allies in order to summon a devastating demonic monster that deals huge damage to any nearby enemies.

Soul Bind
*Binds the soul of the unit to the mortal plane, causing the soul to remain after the body dies. When the targeted unit dies their soul flies to the nearest hero within range. If it is an enemy they are damaged, if an ally they are healed. Damage/heal amount is equal to a percentage of the Soul Bound unit's Max HP. Can target both enemies and allies, can be cast on Magic Immune targets but damage does not pierce Magic Immunity. Damage/Heal amount is different for Heroes/Hero Units/Ancients. Cannot be cast on Roshan.*

Separation of a soul from its mortal shell is a messy ordeal, but one can not create an army of the damned with ease.

Calls forth the damned to pull a target to their death. Vector Targeted. Enemies in an AoE around the initial cast point are pulled a distance in the chosen direction.
While being dragged enemies are considered rooted.

Hell Occultist is not the Old Demons' only steward, cold dead grasping hands assist in pulling the victim to their greater purpose.

Blood Sacrifice
Occultist gains the Old Demons' favor with blood sacrifices from both enemies and allies. Deals Pure damage to the target. If target is an enemy they are additionally slowed. If target is an ally, the cooldown of Gaping Maw is reduced.

Ultimate Abilities

Gaping Maw
Summon the stationary mouth of a Hellish tentacle monster. Upon cast and once every second the Maw slams the ground surrounding it, damaging all enemies and doing bonus damage equal to a percentage of their max hp. The Maw is Magic Immune and dies after 10s. AGHS: Gaping Maw gains the Death Grip spell with a 5s Cooldown
