Not at all. I personally prefer Dire because of the camp positioning, but that has nothing to do with effectiveness and is just me preferring the layout. Radiant is probably easier to gank your safelane but Dire works just as well.

Item build has changed a *lot*. Earlier comments may no longer be valid. That said, I don't have Shadowblade in the build, which a lot of pro players get (Dendi does, in pubs as Doom). I don't like the ganking build because sentries make it a waste of 3k.

I Player doom quite a lot and you got some good advices here but I don't like your build. Also the hp-regen aura always goes over summoning skeletons in the early game. The basilius Midas build is complete **** in my opinion since its not durable enough. I prefer wether going class so you get some lifesteal saving your mana for combat or going soulring to solve any manaissues. I doubt basilius provides enough regeneration. Also the radiance build is very expensive and onedimensional. When u got radiance and vanguard finished you got dmg-block but u miss any armor plus ur attack speed is still ****. Also radiance is often considered a farming item and that's exaclty what u don't need on doom after a Midas. Vanguard is also a very lowpriced item. Dooms carrying ability comes from his farming capabilities plus the big wolves crit. He can get so early online. So rather go straight assault cuirass s&y or heavens halberd or HoT.

I hadn't even thought of those two. It's actually not a bad idea, and solves your mana problems earlier than Rod or Blade Mail. I'll add them in to situational items.

I'm up for improving this, and my first point of call is items. Does anyone know how I can add in the 'starting items, early game, core, situational' subsections like you see in the in-game item shop? It might be a bit clearer with that.

Go into your build, above where your Items are, there should be a box that says "PO #1". Beneath that is a Text Box labelled "Po Name", this is where you put Titles such as "Starting Items. Next to "PO #1" is a "+" Button, this will allow you to add another group, which you can call "Early Game", etc.

P.S. When updating the guide, remember to hit "Publish" after saving to update the version of the guide that we can see ;{)

The lack of BKB was entirely an oversight; it's an item so obvious I forgot it. As I said, never done this before :)

Radiance and Vanguard is just so you don't have to throw away your Stout Shield after you're done in the jungle. Maybe it's not effective; it's just me being obsessive. I'm odd like that.

As to the lack of armour, the Ring of Basilius gives three; while not a lot, it still helps early game. If you're facing a team of right-clickers, I recommended getting Blade Mail very quickly. Against a team of nukers and the like, armour won't do much anyway, so that's my logic to leaving it out.

LVL? Death is left until level 10 not just for mana but for effectiveness. As it is a percentage-based effect, it's much better late- than early-mid game. Since you're jungling until mid game, you won't miss the nuke very much.

I'm up for improving this, and my first point of call is items. Does anyone know how I can add in the 'starting items, early game, core, situational' subsections like you see in the in-game item shop? It might be a bit clearer with that.

Depending on your Mid and Offlaner, you can get a Bottle which allows you to Bottle Crow, or take Runes and Gank early on with Lvl? Death. It's Situational, but it allows you to be more Aggressive and get Kills early on.

Then the Vanguard would be wasted, as you mainly take it for the HP regen (which wouldn't be a problem with a Bottle).

I agree with the above posts, also, I would never get Vanguard if I was going to grab a Radiance. Vanguard slows down your Radiance, which you want as soon as possible (preferably before 15:00). Vanguard is good for games where you intend to finish quickly though, i.e. by 30:00, maybe 35:00. A good alternative to Vanguard would be Drum of Endurance provided no one else on your Team gets one.

First, I like the fact that you don't get LVL? Death before level 10: Doom already has mana problems, adding another mana-hungry skill before having a decent amount of INT isn't desirable at all.

Depending on your Mid and Offlaner, you can get a Bottle which allows you to Bottle Crow, or take Runes and Gank early on with Lvl? Death. It's Situational, but it allows you to be more Aggressive and get Kills early on.

Yeah I agree the build is a bit greedy - it can work well if your team can 4v5 for a while, you don't get picked off in the jungle, and their team doesn't have a harder carry.

Personally, I think you should replace the Vanguard with the Rod of Atos - it's a similar item in many ways, still gives you a bunch of HP and solves most of your mana problems. The extra casting potential combined with the big slow should easily net you some kills to speed that farm along.

Completely agree on the Assault Cuirass, it does a ton for your armour and right click potential. Combined with the auras from Vladmir's Offering and Alpha Wolf you hit hard, with an AC you also hit OFTEN. BKB can often be a necessity, it depends on who you're up against.
