The Aegis of Champions

You might have seen The Aegis of Champions at this year's International and pondered what kind of wizardry was performed to craft such an artifact. Was it conjured from an old spell found at The Ultimyr Academy? Or maybe found buried in the Riftshadow Ruins from a battle long ago?
