Long Time Player who has always struggled

I started playing Dota back in the Dota-Allstars days, the Guinsoo era on WC3, around 2005-06. I started playing Dota 2 in Nov. 2013 just a few months after its release on Valve. I've never been very good at the game, but have always had fun playing. This is the first time I've actually sought help trying to figure out what fundamental strategy I'm not comprehending. I think I play too aggressive too early and have been working on that. I have a good understanding of the gameplay and mechanics of the game as well as items. Just looking for someone to play a few games with and learn from. Anyone willing to play some matches and give me some advice?
