So I had this game happen, it would have been over much earlier if it weren't for Keeper of the Light. Which begs the question; how do you push in a Kotl without it turning into a giant dilemma?

Also, now just 17 mmr away from 1.1K!

Kotl has very good push, but he is squishier than a crystal maiden. Killing him first usually works. Make use of the 5 sec channel time to do what you need and avoid getting hit by blinding light.

Alternatively, you can push 2 lanes at once, because Kotl can only counterpush one lane.

Ps: dat WD tho...

Anyone who can pull him out should do it, or don't push together, keep multiple lanes pushed back, and then pick off a key enemy, and then high ground dive him.

Batrider, Tiny, and Pudge are all pretty good at pulling him out, while Centaur Warrunner is probably best hero to dive him under the deep towers.

If it's a T1 or T2 tower, you wrap around the tower and kill KOTL. I'm not saying dive him, you're not diving anything, you're just walking around outside of vision to the area behind the tower where he's sitting to spam Q and sniping him.

If it's a T3 tower, essentially you just don't. Some heroes like Batrider are great against him but in a normal game the whole point is that you can't really high ground a kotl. AFAIK Pipe of Insight is the only 100% reliable counter to it in a high ground push (because it works on your creeps too).

Of course if you're playing Lich the only thing you can do is buy a pipe or mek/greaves. But if you're playing any kind of ganker you should really look to snipe kotl behind his towers, it's actually pretty easy to do.

Essesntially a T3 push into a KoTL becomes a 1 for 1 trade situation in lower level pubs where peope cant coordinate or do their **** fast enough to disengage easily.

Basically, you need either of the ones:
Imba initiator
Imba Ganker
Imba ratter.

Otherwise, you might just hand yourself over on a plate coz u will dive and they will kill you on their high ground, only to push your high ground and win the game just like that. Comeback meta ****** please*

Make a blink maybe? :) Take a hero that stuns and blink - stun him and DPS him hard before he tries to run away.
