I understand the basic mechanics and I'm now at 16 losses and 8 wins after quite a few bot games. So basically I'm a noob.
I like the game alot and I've read quite a few guides and watched people a lot better than me play but I'm also looking for an opportunity to talk to and play with some people who have been playing for a bit longer than me.
I find myself in situations where I know I must be doing something wrong but just don't know what I should be doing and at the same time I find myself in situations where I know I've not done much wrong (though I was probably pretty inefficient) and I'd love to have some general idea what to change. Sometimes I also see a game swing in one direction or another and I can see the usually inevitable end, but I have very little idea on what caused that exactly and what I could do to influence that. I'd love for someone to actually watch a reply and give me pointers or just play with me.
If anyone's willing to play a game or two with a noob, feel free to add me, steam name JoJoBird, and I'll also check this thread.
This is the perfect place to look for that kind of help. Both me and Smuggels do some coaching around here, althought currently he's probably more active than me. Feel free to PM any of us with any specific question you might have, or any game you would like to be reviewed.
One thing that helps a lot is to have a Dotabuff account, where you have statistics on your own games and can quickly share them with others. Do you have one? If not, I suggest you do one, it's free and it will help you and the people reviewing your games.
Also, please tell us in what server you play, so that we know if we can or not play with you because of ms issues.
Thanks for the fast reply! My Dotabuff profile is https://www.dotabuff.com/players/44906310 (I hope this works, my Dotabuff name is JoJoBird, if you can search by that name). I'm from Europe and my game usually selects one of the European or Russian servers.
Hello and welcome to dota and dotafire. Im also from europe, i can probably help you out a bit so if you see me online ask away. I can also coach a bit if i have time.
I occasionally find myself lurking on the eu west servers and am relatively new to the game as well. Don't hesitate to add me: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Fedorex/
I play in EU servers pretty much all the time, I main support, but I also play A LOT of Windranger so I can help you with some of these heroes in particular.
If you don't need any specific help, feel free to add me and invite me to coach or play, I'm often free so if you see me online just ask.
