Complete ARTS noob, seeking Mentor

I just recently became infatuated with DOTA2. I've been playing rabidly for the last 2 weeks or so, but being that this is my first foray into the ARTS genre I still feel like a liability to my teammates.

I typically research my characters before trying them online, both in game and via the guides provided here. Just seeking a little more hands on help basically, hoping someone can help coach me up!

::Edit:: I have been primarily enjoying Str. characters Tidehunter and Tiny, although my current favorite has to be Weaver if that matters at all.
